Micro charities are struggling (no news there…!)

My poll results show micro charities are hampered by fundraising pressures, stretched capacity and unmanageable priorities.

I’ve been testing my impression of the pressures facing small charities.

I ran a short, anonymous poll, targeted at people in senior roles in small civic and non-profit groups in the UK:

1 – Constant fundraising pressure – 26.1%
2 – Funding uncertainty & late decisions – 21.7%
2 – Burnout & stretched capacity – 21.7%
3 – Too many priorities at once – 13%
4 – Admin / coordination gaps – 8.7%
5 – Management of governing board – 4.3%
5 – All of the above – 4.3%

(There may be (at least) one missing: Pressure to use technology/AI, but perhaps that would come under ‘Stretched capacity’ anyway.)

Do these pressures ring true? And what can help soften them?
